Meet Henry
A quiet companion for the deeper journey
Henry has been on a spiritual journey since he was ten years old, when he first felt the presence of the Divine calling him into a life of deeper relationship and service. Through the years, this call has taken many paths - being formed and ordained as a priest, leaving institutional priesthood to seek a place where it could be more fully lived and expressed, serving in chaplaincy and hospice, practicing the silence of Centering Prayer, working through the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius Loyola, studying eastern meditation through the Thai Forrest lineage of Theravada Buddhism, immersing himself in the Christian Wisdom stream as transmitted by Cynthia Bourgeault, studying the Gurdjieff Movements, and many other steps along the way.
What has remained constant through the years is seeking - following an invitation by the Holy One - to live and work from a greater presence. And, after all of this, he is still a beginner.
His formal training includes a Bachelor of Arts in English; a Master of Divinity; a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Formation; training from the Center for Group Studies; ongoing work in group facilitation and leading the Gurdjieff Movements in the Whidbey Alkhadans lineage; and a certificate in Culinary Arts from the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
As well, he loves hiking in the woods, cooking, photography, and taking small steps to make the world a better place.
